Biography
My name is Christianne Riveroll. I am in ninth grade at Grace Christian, located in Prince Edward Island. I enjoy sports such as basketball, horseback riding, volleyball, and running. My most notable moment would be winning high point pony last year (pony and rider with the highest score in the overall competition), on the pony I spent four years training from scratch. I chose this topic for my project because I have a deep interest in psychology. Teenagers today have a lot of stresses to face, so I am very interested in therapies or techniques that can be used to combat stress, overstimulation, anxiety, etc. In the future, for my project, I would like to explore using an aspect of the galvanic skin response measure to help people track the status of their mood and wellbeing. If thinking about doing a project, I would advise students to select a topic that they are passionate about, and have an interest in. This way, you will be more inclined to take your project to the next step.

The Psychology of Colour
Challenge:Health
Category:Intermediate
Region:Prince Edward Island
City:New Dominion, PE
School:Grace Christian
Abstract:For my project, I studied how colour affects people's moods. I used a unique way to measure mood, called galvanic skin response, which measures the electrical flow in your fingertips, created by the sweat you produce. This is interesting because colours can be used as a tool to control how we feel. In the future, I hope that it could be used more in therapy.
