My name is Darshana, I am a grade 7 student in French Immersion at École College Park School, in Saskatchewan. I love challenging myself to learn new languages, I know several including English, French, Hindi and Marathi. Some of my hobbies include: arm and finger knitting, puzzles, baking, dancing and singing. I enjoy volunteering at Ronald McDonald House where we bake for the families whose children are in the hospital. Most importantly I love food and agriculture, I strongly believe everyone should get the same nutrients that I am getting. That was where the inspiration for this project came from. The advice I would give to other people working on a science project is work hard and continue to ask questions, because curiosity leads to the best discoveries. The point of this competition is to learn about science and engineering and dedicating time and asking questions will lead to a successful study. This study developed a love for the fields of agriculture and biotechnology research and in the future I would like to continue work in these fields. |
