Anna - Anna Schwartz is a seventeen-year-old homeschooled student from Fort Frances, Ontario. Anna studies piano, singing, organ, and music composition. She has received an honorable mention at the national level of the MRMTA composition competition and has both played piano and sang at the provincial level. Her other interests include working at her local public library, playing squash, and improvising on the piano. The idea for this project came to be through Anna's experiences with music and Angie's mom being recently diagnosed with diabetes. This is Anna's first science fair project and she is honoured to have the opportunity to attend CWSF! | Angie - Angie Redford is a grade 9 student at Fort Frances High School. She is 15 years old and is a sports enthusiast. She currently participates in figure skating, basketball, skiing, track and field, and this year made it to OFSAA for skiing. She also enjoys playing the saxophone and the piano. The idea for this project came to be through Anna's experiences with music and Angie's mom being recently diagnosed with diabetes. This will be Angie's second time at CWSF and she is very excited to return! |

We tested all four things, changing the independent variables major and minor music, live and recorded music. After conducting our study, we found a positive correlation between live music and reduced glucose and blood pressure, and the opposite with recorded music. |
