Sabrina Hundal is currently a Grade 9 student enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program at Glenforest Secondary School. She maintains a high academic standing, while devoting her time to various extra-curricular activities. She is an active student who plays on a rep U15 soccer team, and enjoys hockey as well as swimming. Sabrina relishes volunteering her time to the elderly at a long-term care home, and to her local hospital. She is also a member of her school’s science club, and cross-country team. Sabrina is an advocate for the environment, and strongly supports the David Suzuki Foundation. She strives to do her part to help end global climate change. Sabrina developed her passion for science through a regional science and technology program, which introduced her to various fields of science. However, in the end engineering is what stimulated her curiosity. In the future, she aspires to be a mechanical engineer. In terms of advice for other students, her suggestion would be to pursue something that you are passionate about. This is because with passion, the possibilities are truly endless. |

This project is based on the theory that water expands when changing into solid formation. Various setups were created to extract, harness, and transfer the pressure exerted during the transformation, into usable kinetic energy. A final working setup was successful in capturing this energy. |
