Snow To Heat Sidewalks?

Abstract:The purpose of my project was to devise an economical and ecofriendly method of snow removal from the sidewalks. I hypothesized that the melted snow water going into the storm drain can run a hydroelectric generator placed at the bottom of the drain to generate enough energy to heat the sidewalk. On very cold days, the process can be started by a reserve battery.
