Abstract:Three dwarf calves were born into our herd of Maine-Anjou cattle in 2005. The pedigrees of these three animals were examined in an attempt to find the cause of these dwarf animals. A single autosomal recessive gene carried by a bull ZTA 415G most likely caused dwarfism in our herd.
