| Allan P. J. Ross, Randall Osborne Muskrats Are Missing, The Effects of Hydro Flooding
Division: | Earth & Environmental Sciences | Category: | Junior | Region: | Manitoba First Nations | City: | Cross Lake, MB | School: | Mikisew Middle School | Abstract: | Before the Jenpeg hydro project was constructed in the 1970s, muskrats and other resources were plentiful in the Cross Lake area of Manitoba. Since then, the muskrat population has declined from thousands to the point where none are seen in many areas today. Our main question is why and how can this have happened within such a short period of time? |
