I vividly remember a nine-year-old me on Canada Day - grinning ear to ear when my first Javascript program ran successfully. It was a day that gave me my first taste of curiosity and fulfilment. With a burning desire to learn more, I started to tinker with coding languages such as HTML, Javascript, ProcessingJS, Python, GML, and before I knew it, I had an almost unlimited reservoir of ideas, and the power to follow through with them. I turned to much more serious problems in the medical field, such as pneumonia, malaria, and diabetes. I realized that if I lent a hand to try and make solving these problems easier, then I would have made a huge contribution to humanity. This is what drives me to get up every day, code until I fall asleep on my desk, and do it all over again. In the future, I would love to take my AI to the market and pitch it as software to health care providers. My tip for people looking to join this fair would be to dream big, discipline yourself, put in the work, and see your project to the end. Most importantly never leave anything unfinish- |
