Biographies
Jazlyn - Hello, my name is Jazlyn Harper, I am 13 years old and in grade 8 at Ecole St. Mary School. Our school science fair has been my all time favourite part of the school year ever since grade six when I started. I used to always do environmental projects until I realized it would be more interesting if I did things that related to my personal life. To further my investigation on my project I would like to find more things that our project impacts. Other than just staring contests. To all the students that are trying to find a project my advice to you would be to incorporate things in your personal life and make them into science but also making sure you are interested in the subject. Don't give up because there is always a way!
Gerone - Hello, my name is Gerone Dimalanta. I'm 13 years old from Regina, Saskatchewan! I currently go to a french immersion school in grade 8. I cannot believe that I got 2nd in our city regional science fair! I'm so stoked to go to Fredericton, NB! The inspiration for our project is that I did a staring with my friend and he tricked me by saying that people with glasses would win if you took of your glasses. So I did the contest, and I LOST! I got SO mad! So I wanted to see if it was true. Our question is: Does perfect and imperfect vision have an effect on how long you can leave your eyes open. Some plans that I might have in further investigations is that I want to socialize with others. I love testing people! Also, I love working with chemicals. So I would love to work with it in future experiments. Some advice to you future young scientists out there is to follow what your heart desires! If you been thinking about it, you gotta do it!

Sommaire:Our question is: Does perfect vision and imperfect vision have an impact on how long a person can keep theirs eyes open? During the experiment one hundred people participated by staring at a wall without blinking. The participants were also asked to compete against someone with opposite vision. The results were recorded and compared, determining the answer to our question.
