Biography
My name is Matt Falkner, I am a grade 12 Student at SFDCI and a future computer programmer. Since I started programming in grade 10, I have been making apps, which started with the Juno Beach Project that won me and a few others the Lieutenant governor's award for Ontario heritage and youth achievement. As well, I made an Android application which helped students in the high school 'Trilogy' Course. At my high school, SFDCI I am a member of students council, a Link Crew leader and am in the sound and lights club. Outside of school, for the last three years I have been a camp counsellor at Camp Lau-Ren. The Idea for my science fair came from the clear lack of high school students getting involved in high school, and what better way to get them involved than with an iPhone Application? After this application is released to the app store I plan on letting other students work on it to gain experience with database management. The advice I would give to future science fair participants to do a project on something they really love doing, the rest will come naturally.
