| Sarah - Mon nom est Sarah St-Pierre et le nom de notre projet à moi et ma coéquipière (Catherine Laferté) est «Les protéines recombinantes». J'étudie dans le programme P.E.I. au Collège Saint-Bernard en secondaire 4. | | Catherine - My name is Catherine Laferté, I come from Drummondville, Qc, and I am in secondary 4 in the College Saint-Bernard. My favourite subjects at school are maths, science, history, and french. My teammate and I, when we brainstormed about the experiment we would do for the Science fair, we immediately thought about genetics. Unfortunately, neither of us knew someone working in this area who could teach us the basics of biology. After a lot of efforts, we found someone who taught us and help us in our experiment which is about doing bFGF recombinant proteins following the protocols we created. After checking if our proteins were ready to be commercialized, we thought about multiple ideas where our proteins could be used to save lives. Participating in the science fair gave me a lot of opportunities. I met so many amazing people and shared unforgettable memories with them. If you have the chance to be part of this adventure, do it. You won't regret it. |

C'est après avoir produit notre propre tirage de protéines à l'entreprise des biotechnologies Feldan, que nous avons pu évaluer à l'aide de contrôles de qualité, s'il était réglementaire et prêt à être commercialisé. |
