Biographie
I am currently a grade 11 student at Laval Liberty High School in the science path, with high hopes of pursuing a collegial and university degree in medicine. I inevitably enjoy science, however my other hobbies and interests include art and travelling/discovering new cultures. My passion for science and understanding the world around us lead me to my research plan. I enjoy hands on experiences and human health regarding the treatment of deadly illnesses. I plan to pursue this experimentation with further research, in order to come to a complete understanding of the potential that this application can have in the real world. This experience has been very enriching and to any future participants I suggest to do their research and compete at any science fair you have the opportunity to. Presenting to the public and judges and seeing their interest is the most rewarding aspect of this entire experience.

Sommaire:This research plan aims to view the effects of mesenchymal stem cells on a lung cancer microenvironment. In particular, I am trying to determine how the cells behave (in proliferation rate), in order to potentially regenerate damage tissue caused by radiation therapy. This woud create a side effect free treatment alternative for lung cancer patients.
