Biographie
I am a student in high school who is interested in technology, physics, and engineering. In my spare time I work on projects that allow me to learn new skills and concepts. My project for the CWSF is the development of an electric skateboard. I wanted a device that I could use to more easily get from my bus stop to school. I used my knowledge of RC electronics to create the prototypes (which I was the first to open-source), and I ran scientific experiments to improve the design. Recently, I have developed a solar-powered weather station for my school, which helps forecast the weather on the WeatherUnderground network. I have many more projects, everything from boat-autopilots to solar power banks, all of which I really enjoyed building! I also really enjoy programming. I programmed a system, similar to WordPress, which I used, and others can use, in order to create blogs. In the future, I plan on attending the Engineering Physics program at UBC, which is known for providing the skills necessary to explore new concepts in science, as well as apply those concepts to develop new products. I look forward to meeting the brilliant minds at the CWSF!

Sommaire:This project is a lightweight and fast electric skateboard, which utilizes an innovative wireless control method. It is the perfect electric vehicle for "last-mile" commutes via public transit, and it also offers a thrilling ride. Five prototypes have been developed, and an experiment was conducted in order to maximize the range, by optimizing the gear ratio of the motor drive.
