| Elizabeth (Liz ) Connon is an honour roll Grade 8 student at Lincoln Middle School in Winnipeg where she is involved in many activities. Liz is a founding member of the school’s coding club, and a member of the student council, has been a cast member in the school musicals, (this year she played Baby Shrek in Shrek the Musical) as well as playing school sports of ultimate, cross country, and track & field. Liz has received a special “Wall of Fame” award for art, athletics, academics, and citizenship, which is a special achievement award at Lincoln. Outside of school Liz plays ringette and is currently the defending city champs for the second year in a row and enjoys reading, spending time with family and her pet rescue beagle, Parker. Liz has also attended We Day, seminars on Girls Learning Code and Raspberry Pi. I am excited about the future of Virtual Reality and how it can be used in my future studies of Interior Design. If I could give other kids advice if they are thinking about doing a project DO NOT do it last minute and have fun with it. |
