| My name is Emma Adams and I'm a grade 10 student at St. Mary's College. Currently, I am taking AP biology, which has really sparked my interest for all things science, especially animal related. I've taken that passion into my everyday life, riding horses as well as working with the bugs at our local insectarium, Entomica. I volunteer there every Sunday, and when my science teacher presented the opportunity to do science fair, I knew right away it needed to involve insects. I was given the chance to experiment with two African praying mantids, and would do it again in a heart beat. It was amazing working with these little guys, and I highly recommend others to do it. I will continue working with these bugs at Entomica, but won't continue my experiment. Instead, I'll expand my scientific interests and do other projects. I will take my science and animal passion to university, and follow this interest to create a career in animal biology. |
