Biography
Willow is currently a grade 7 honour role student at Evergreen Heights Education Centre, where she is Deputy Prime Minister in the student government and involved in all aspects of the school. She enjoys school, gymnastics, track and field, cross country and down hill skiing, acting in musical theatre, piano and white water kayaking. Willow is very excited to represent the East Parry Sound Region at the Canada Wide Science Fair.

Abstract:This experiment shows that natural materials can be used to clean up oil by absorbing it. Cattails, dog fur, phragmites, sawdust and clay are tested for their ability to absorb oil floating on top of water. Cattails and dog fur are the best sorbents - absorbing lots of oil and little water.
