| I was inspired to develop an application after my research on smart cities lead me to information about Boston City developing an application to detect potholes and also some car companies in the UK that were trying to implement a feature in the vehicles to detect potholes and bumps. With my background in Robotics and this research, I decided to create a mobile app to detect potholes and bumps. I also think it is important for smart cities to have good communication and collaboration with its residents, so I added that component to my app. I would like to add a feature in my application that can alert drivers of upcoming bumps and potholes and also show the traffic delays. Advice that i would like to other students is that do a lot of research before implementation and think of something innovative and something you are passionate about. |
