Biography
My name is Ruby Poulette. I am a 11th Grade Student at We'kqma'q Mi'kmaq School. I am from Waycobah First Nation. My hobbies and interests are reading, writing, playing volleyball and swimming, biking, watching T.V and listening to music. Hanging out with my friends, stressing out my teachers for fun and making people laugh are other pass times. I aim to go to S.M.U after I graduate for English or History. The inspiration for project came from a video on Tardigrades I saw on youtube and a teacher who encouraged me to do it. For further investigations I would like to see if they really could survive extreme heat and cold, etc. The advice I have for students thinking about doing a project is to find something you're passionate about and study it. Mine was these Tardigrades so I researched them out of curiosity and here I am.

Abstract:The Purpose of this study was to learn about Tardigrades. See how long they can survive outside of a habitat, Cape Breton's weather, and to learn how they're capable of doing all this. The results turned out better than expected.Discovering the fact that they had lived for 37 days, samples being collected in snow, and learning they survive from entering a death like state.
