Managing Greenhouse Gas Exchange in a Constructed Wetland Model
Division:Earth & Environmental Sciences
Category:Intermediate
Region:Bay Area
City:Hamilton, ON
School:Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School
Abstract:A constructed wetland is a human-made swamp or marsh built to filter water contaminants. Although they are efficient and cost-effective, wetlands release large quantities of greenhouse gases. The purpose of this experiment was to reduce gas quantities emitted by a wetland model by managing the factors affecting wetland gas exchange.
