Biographie
My name is Wil Campbell and I go to Red Lake Madsen Public School in Northwestern Ontario. I enjoy playing almost every sport but I love hockey and basketball the most. Another thing I like to do is listen and play music. I do enjoy working with my hands on projects. I got the inspiration for this project by looking at my classroom and the problems we faced. I noticed that some teachers would allow us to listen to music and others wouldn't. I like music so I decided to do my project on different types of music and distractions to see which affected students the most. Further investigations for this project would be different age spans, other types of music and more distractions. Some advice I would give to other students doing science projects is to find an idea you like and make sure it is fun. That is one of the most important things because if it is not fun then you won’t expand and learn more from it.

Music and Distraction
Défi:Découverte
Catégorie:Junior
Région:Sunset Country
Ville:Red Lake , ON
École:Red Lake Madsen P.S.
Sommaire:The purpose of this project is to see if music and distraction can impact students ability to learn. Students did multiplication tests while listening to music (classical, rock and roll, and their own choice) and watching a distraction. Time and accuracy were compared to determine the best results. Results show classical music is the best out of all the tests for accuracy and time.
