Sergio Morales was born in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1993. Sergio, along with his father and mother, immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 2000. He is a very talkative, positive, and ambitious person who likes to read the paper and keeps up with present news and issues. He enjoys baseball, soccer, tennis, swimming, and biking. He plays on his school’s volleyball and flag football team, as well as train in his school’s cross-country team. Sergio enjoys playing the piano, and has played the piano in several school performances, as well as hosted several school performances as the M.C. He is also the student council class rep. and the president of the student council in his school. He likes to be active in the community and organized his school’s spring clean up project. He likes to watch politics shows, and keeps up with the latest government issues. Sergio wants to attend a Canadian university to study either medicine or law, and hopes to be a doctor or a lawyer in his hometown. He also wishes to be able to coach tennis on the side. This is Sergio Morales’ second Canada-Wide Science Fair, and he hopes to attend many more CWSF’s in the future. |

Fruit flies & dangerous insects, the effect of global warming on the assimilation of ecosystems, fruit irradiation, and related topics were researched. From the results, a brochure and an innovation were created. |
