| I have been enrolled in distance education at SCIDES my whole life, without ever attending public school. This has allowed me extra free time for my hobbies and interests. My major hobbies are hiking, biking, video games, movies and programming. I have learned programming through my science fair project "The Modex", and have been able to release the app on the app store despite no formal training. So far I have moved about 500 units on the app store, and look forward to more apps I could develop in the future. I got the inspiration for my project from my uncle Tim, who invented the original Modex in a physical form. The purpose for this project was to create and sell a digital version of the Modex, which I accomplished. To students thinking of doing a science fair project, I would say to do what you are passionate about, and to work hard to make it happen. In the future I would like to expand the Modex to include a metronome, chord reader, key reader and tone player. |
