Jillian - My name is Jillian Hauber. I live on a farm, 12 and 1/2 miles east of a small town in Saskatchewan called Cudworth. I attend Cudworth School. I am involved in curling, track and field, Drama club, Travel club, and co-ed fastball. I am editor of the 2006/2007 Cudworth School yearbook and was on the committee since last year. I'm also part of the Cudworth Skating Club. I help coach the younger skaters, skate in regional competitions, and I am the captain of our club's precision team. I have also been taking piano lessons since I was 8 years old. I am currently working on my Grade 8 practical and I recently passed my Grade 2 theory. I also play for the Youth Choir at the St. Micheal's Church in Cudworth. Other activities I enjoy are snowboarding, yoga, pilates, and camping. I have been going to the St. John Bosco Camp every summer for the past six years and will be returning this year to counsel. Some special awards I have received are the Grade 9 and Grade 10 Proficiency Awards. This is the first year I have ever been a CWSF finalist.
Crystal - My name is Crystal Renneberg. I grew up in Cudworth Saskatchewan, and live 8 miles outside of Cudworth. I am involved in many sports and school activities. Such as: Volleyball, Drama, Curling, Track, and Fastball. I am also in the Cudworth Travel Club group, and next Easter (2008) we will be travelling to the Montreal area. I have won School Awards for Volleyball, Drama, and Curling. I have also won awards for Remembrance Day Poster Contest 3 years in a row. In my future I'm am thinking about going into the nursing area of college. This is my first year winning first in my science fair category, and 2nd in the whole regional science fair. I must say I've never been so excited and shocked! I can't wait! I've never been to Nova Scotia, so it should be very interesting.

Abstract:Have you ever come home from school with symptoms of congestion, dry eyes, or headaches? Microorganisms present in schools could be affecting your health. This project examined the growth of microorganisms in certain areas of Cudworth School. Further experimentation was done to determine if the growth of microorganisms could be prevented with more efficient cleaning, therefore, alleviating the health symptoms some students and staff experience.
