Biography
I am an introverted video game and mountain biker. My plans for the future extend no more than an interest in some form of engineering at Waterloo. I've traveled quite a bit - over 100 different flights by the time I was ten, and have traveled across North America by car several times. For this project, I was inspired by an article in the Nov. 9-13 2014 issue of Bloomberg Businessweek talking about commercial experiments with aeroponics. This, along with issues in my home state of California regarding water supply, inspired me to create a more efficient home made solution. As for future work on this project, there isn't much for me to do but get the time to grow plants to maturity. For other students doing projects, perseverance is key. The list of issues I had that were out of my control wouldn't fit in the space remaining for this biography.

The Ultraponic Gardening System
Challenge:Innovation
Category:Intermediate
Region:Strait
City:Guysborough, NS
School:Chedabucto Education Centre-Guysborough Academy
Abstract:This project is researching the viability of a homemade aeroponics garden. By using efficient LED lights and a humidifier, it tries to grow plants in an enclosed space irrelevant of the environment and also automates most of the process.
