Biography
My name is Ling Yi (Linda) Guo, and I am a Grade 12 student from Alberta. I enjoy building things and have a passion for hands-on learning and solving problems. In university, I plan to pursue a career in health sciences. My goal is to develop vaccines for different types of cancers, and incorporate robotic technologies into the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This year, I have developed a robotic module, named “In-Sight,” to provide obstacle detection and GPS navigation for the blind or visually impaired with affordable and effective technology. I taught myself to use breadboards, Arduino, and programming. My advice to other students is to dream big, and not be afraid to try something new.
