My name is Daniel Levin and I am 13 years of age. Each day I strive to earn the best possible education and get the most out of my daily surroundings. I have participated in the Regional Science Fair since grade 5, thinking of innovative ideas to improve our daily lives. My idea for the SMART Car Seat came from watching the news and seeing tragic deaths of children from overheating due to parents leaving them in a car seat. I believe that watching the news is an important part of our daily lives as it gives a comprehensive overview of major events happening in the world. Among other things, you get to appreciate what we have and the country we live. I plan to continue my participation in the science fair as it provides a unique opportunity to pursue innovation in engineering to reach my main goal of helping children who are in trouble and improving their well being. I believe that great ideas are the simple ones. My advice for any future science fair participant is to look around as a brilliant invention is usually just around the corner. |
