| My name is Ainsley Rozon. I'm fourteen years old and I live in White City, Saskatchewan with my family. I have one brother named Isaiah, a cat named Pumpkin and a dog named Blaze. In my spare time, I dance competitively and play guitar for fun. I have been interested in science ever since I was a little girl. I would ask for chemistry sets for Christmas and invent things with my brother. As I grew up, I became more involved in science through projects etc. Last year, I went to the Lumsden Regional Science Fair for my project on fish and their ability to remember. I won bronze in my category. This year, I have the privilege of attending CWSF. I am honoured and excited to pursue my interest in Earth and Environmental Science. |

How Plants Help Filter Groundwater

Originally, I experimented with bromine as a pollutant. Later, I used simulated greywater. I compared how two different plants worked filtering pollutants as opposed to soil alone. Using plants to filter water could be a more environmentally friendly option than traditional methods and more accessible for developing countries. |
