Biography
Penelope Armstrong was born, grew up and still lives in Iqaluit, Nunavut with her parents, younger brother and much of her growing extended family. She loves to go camping out on the land and play many sports namely soccer, basketball, competitive swimming, and figure skating. She is eager to learn and when it comes to her favorite subject, science, she is interested in space and the environment. This is what lead to her motivation to test the water systems in her community for a variety of components depending on location and infrastructure and to see if the water met government parameters. For further investigation, she plans to do a similar experiment but for a longer period of time and test for a wider variety of elements. If any student was thinking about doing a project she suggests doing something that you personally are curious about and has importance to you. University is a long-range plan for Penelope but has too many interests to choose what specific career yet.
