Challenge:Environment
Category:Intermediate
Region:York
City:Concord, ON
School:St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic H.S.
Abstract:Many polymers act as super-absorbers – they absorb many times their weight in water and because of this, they are extremely useful in many environmental applications. The current methods of oil and contaminant removal from water are harmful to the environment. My project focuses on creating eco-friendly methods to re mediate this issue.
