Metabolism and its Processes: In Vitro
Division:Life Sciences
Category:Senior
Region:Niagara
City:Jordan, ON
School:Denis Morris High School
Abstract:Metabolism summates all chemical reactions occurring within the body and is a strictly regulated, and austerely synchronized process in which life itself is based. Experiments undergone in-vitro allow for the isolation and identification of the regulators and innate characteristics of metabolism. Isolated and propagated invariably, the metabolic rates of several mammals did not scale with body mass according to allometric scaling laws found in-vivo.
