Biographie
Kaylee Kruk is 13 years old and lives in Sudbury Ontario, with her seven siblings. She is a grade 8 student at Marymount Academy and likes mathematics and science. Kaylee also partakes in school sports, such as volleyball and basketball. She enjoys participating in Ukrainian dance, gymnastics and swimming for extracurricular activities. Kaylee enjoys taking part in this science fair experience and would recommend choosing a subject/topic that you're passionate about or would enjoy extending your knowledge upon. This will make the project much more interesting and amusing. Kaylee was inspired to create a solar powered desalination system for her science fair because of the interest in a substance so essential to life, water. She would also love to see this system expand and be further experimented on in the future for greater results. Kaylee hopes to one day enter the medical field for post secondary education to help those in need.

Sommaire:A tiny fraction of all the water on Earth, estimated 1%, is freshwater. Nearly 97% is saltwater therefor it is not portable. As this freshwater begins to exhaust, people have been experimenting possible methods such as desalination to produce freshwater. I've constructed and tested my own desalination system using solar power as my energy to remove the dissolved salts.
