Abstract:This purpose of this project was to determine the relationship of depth to diameter ratios of simple impact craters on Mercury and Mars. Measurements were taken from NASA photographs. Crater depth was related to shadow length using the tangent function. It was found that simple impact craters on Mercury have depth to diameter ratios similar to simple impact impact craters on Mars.
