Biography
My name is Eli Aupalu and I'm from Taloyoak, Nunavut. I am 15 years old and I like to play sports such as badminton and basketball. I attend the National aboriginal science camp in PEI 2 years ago. My project was inspired by safety on the land. A friend of mine told me about a time that he was travelling in the dark, without goggles and it was difficult to see. He was almost injured because he could not see the different landforms that had been created by the snow. If I were to continue working on this topic, I would like to try more types of goggle tint and I would try to test people in the actual darkness, not the simulated darkness that I've created. I think that the most important piece of advice I would give to someone is to make sure you have enough time to do everything properly that you would like to do. Don't rush your project board so that it looks neat because first impressions are important.

The Best Goggle Tint for the Dark
Challenge:Information
Category:Intermediate
Region:Kitikmeot
City:Taloyoak, NU
School:Netsilik School
Abstract:I tried to find out which goggle tint would be best to use on the land during low-light conditions. It is important to be safe when you are on the land, and having the correct goggle tint for the conditions will help keep you safe. It is dark for a few months of the year and travelling by land is common at that time.
