Biography
My name is Kevin Bai and I'm currently in grade 9 at St. Ignatius High School, Thunder Bay ON. In school, my favourite subjects are math and science and I enjoy competing in math contests. I love playing sports and have been playing competitive soccer since an early age. Currently, I am playing for my school's varsity soccer team and played JV basketball, volleyball, and cross country. In grade 8, I started learning about computer programming and became very interested. I decided to do a topic involving computer science for my science fair project because of my passion for programming. In the future, I plan to make my eye tracker easier to use and more user friendly. My advice to other students doing a science fair project is to find something you are passionate about and you will be amazed at how far you can go!

Interacting With Electronic Devices Using Eye Movements
Challenge:Innovation
Category:Intermediate
Region:Northwestern Ontario
City:Thunder Bay, ON
School:St. Ignatius S.S.
Abstract:Eye tracking is the process of measuring eye movements. An eye tracker was made to estimate a user's gaze on a monitor. The aim was to create a system that controls electronic devices such as a robot car or lights without physical movement. In the future, this system can be used to control home appliances or help quadriplegics have more control over their environment.
