| My name is Trishna Krishantha and I go to Albert College. I am part of the Community Winds Ensemble and the Clarinet Choir, I enjoy playing the clarinet, piano, and violin, and I also enjoy singing. While I enjoy music a lot, when I graduate, I plan to pursue a future in medicine. I was inspired to start my project because my family often uses amoxicillin, but the effects take a while to set in, so I wanted to find a way to make it work faster and more effectively. Next, I would like to conduct my tests with specific bacterias, like Streptococcus pneumoniae, which is the most common bacterial pneumonia. Advice I would give other students thinking about doing a project, is to choose a project you genuinely enjoy, so you can have fun getting more in depth while conducting the tests. |

Amoxicillin and Vitamin C Working Together

I chose to test this because amoxicillin is often used to treat many bacteria related infections, and while it helps, it takes a while for the effects to set in.
