Biography
My name is Jennie Mae Roy. I am seventeen years old and in grade eleven at South Colchester Academy in Brookfield, Nova Scotia. I am an honors student and a varsity athlete. I am on the Yearbook Committee and I am a minor official. I play on the school soccer, cross-country running and softball teams. I am part of the Provincial Cross-Country Ski Team, and I participated in the Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, Yukon in March of this year in cross-country skiing. Within the community, I am a Sunday school teacher at my church and I sell apples from my home in Stewiacke, which come from the family orchards in the Annapolis Valley. I love photography and books, and dream of becoming a professional photographer. After high school, I would like to get a degree, become a teacher and travel abroad.

Abstract:This project determined the Trolox equivalents antioxidant capacity of four types of apple juices and two types of apple ciders. The samples were measured using a FRAP Assay machine. The statistical analysis showed a significant difference between apple juice and apple cider. Apple juice proved to have a higher antioxidant capacity than apple cider. - Jennie Mae Roy, CWSF 2007
