| I am in grade seven at Turnbull School in Ottawa, Ontario. I was born in Ottawa and have lived here all my life. I play on my school's basketball team. My favourite subjects at school are Science, English, and Drama. Since grade four, I have won three writing awards, and a Student of the Year award. My hobbies include competitive dance, competitive ski racing, drama, playing the piano, and playing the flute. I spend approximately seven hours a week dancing and 16-20 hours a week ski racing. In my non-existent "spare" time I enjoy reading, writing poetry, and shopping. During the summer I enjoy sailing and solo canoeing at a overnight camp at a remote lake. I have wanted to go to the Canada-Wide Science Fair since grade 3, when my oldest sister went. Both of my older sisters have been to the Canada-Wide Science Fair. |

So You Think You Can Sing

Each of the 128 subjects sang the notes A4 and F4. The number of hertz off of each frequency was measured. The key findings were that females sang better than males, people sang worse as they aged, and violinists and people with vocal training sang better. |
