Biographies
Laney - My name is Laney Beaulieu and I am a grade 11 student who attends Deninu School. Deninu is stationed in Fort Resolution, NWT and has a population of roughly 500 people. I am an Indigenous Metis with roots originating in the Chipewyan tribe and I am very proud of my culture. We were inspired to do this project because we wanted to effect positive change in our community. In the future we plan to expand this study to continue to fight alcohol addiction in our community and perhaps other similar communities as well. I would advice other students who are thinking about doing a Science Fair project to study something they are passionate about because that will make the experience extremely rewarding.
Isaac - My name is Isaac Simon and I come from the small community of Fort Resolution in the NWT. My main interest is soccer and I recently participated in the Arctic Winter Games in Nunavut. I worked with my friend, Laney, on this project as this issue affects our community. I am committed to an active, healthy lifestyle and this project combined my interests of science and healthy living.
