| I am an identical twin born in Vancouver, BC and currently reside in Lillooet BC. My achievements include poetry and writing publications, art and school awards. I was presented to the house of commons in Victoria, BC when I was 7 after winning a provincial art contest. I hope to further my education in the medical field after high school. Despite visual search being part of our everyday life, its process is not understood. computer generated programs are the mainstay of research for this complex task. This project suggests that for some, computer generated search skills may not be an accurate reflection of visual search in vivo. Age, gender, and a possible genetic predisposition may also affect visual search efficiency. More research is needed to further understand visual search, the areas of the brain involved and the complexity of the integrated process. |

This project compares real life search, computer search and subgroups of radiologists. T-tests show no correlation between real life search and computer generated search and radiologists are statistically faster with target present testing. Termination time and visual search efficiency are also correlated. More research is needed in real life search and termination time. |
