| Inhibition of EZH2 in Neuroblastoma Cells
Challenge: | Health | Category: | Intermediate | Region: | | City: | , | School: | | Abstract: | Neuroblastoma is one of the deadliest pediatric cancers. Enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) is a histone methyltransferase involved in methylation, a cellular process used to silence genes. EZH2 was targeted using the drug 3 deazaneplanocin A (DZNep) in a drug cytotoxicity assay. In the assay I confirmed the inhibition of neuroblastoma cell growth and apoptosis was confirmed through western blot protein analysis. |
