Biography
My name is Paula Slaney, and i'm a level III student at Holy Name of Mary Academy in Lawn, Newfoundland. I am a very active member of both my school and my community and participate in Allied Youth, Peer Leadership, Drama, Basketball, and tutoring. I love to scrapbook and play tennis. I am very academicaly focused and have been all my school career which has resulted with me recieving academic excellence each year. Last year I was choosen to work in a research lab at MUN which was an amazing experience and from that I have decided to persue a joint honors degree in Biochemistry, and Behavioral Neuroscience with the hope of being a medical researcher.

Abstract:This project studied the strength of both the short-term and long-term memory of a rat. Training in the Morris Water maze was conducted on each rat over a period of 5 days. The results produced stated that the rats indeed have a stronger short-term memory. These results are particularly important as they can be related to the brain fuctions of humans.
