Biography
My name is Joni Karoo and I live in Taloyoak Nunavut. While at school I like to be involved with academic programs. I am part of the Anglican Youth Group in town and we have a revival every year either in Taloyoak or Gjoa Haven. When I am finished high school I would like to apply to Nunavut Sivuniksavut. This is a program offered to Inuit youth from across Canada and it is offered in Ottawa. I would be studying Inuit culture and the land claims agreement as part of this program. Hopefully, the NS program will help me decide on a career path. I have attended the regional science fair for the last two years. Last year I finished outside of the top 3, and this year I won! I am very excited to attend the national fair.
