Labib-Daiyan - My name is Labib-Daiyan Syed and I am in grade 9 and attending Centennial Regional High School I live with both my parents and with my older sister along with my older brother. My interest lay in the field of science. I have participated in various activates; like, playing soccer for the intercity league and being class representative. For over the last three years I have participated in the Montreal Regional Science and Technology Fair (MRSTF) and have always tried creating innovative projects. Thought my science fair life I have always had bacteria related topics, and over this summer there has been a lot of commotion about silver colloid being an anti-microbial agent because of its capabilities of being able to kill bacteria. This inspired me to use silver colloid on Pc3 cells a prostate cancer cell, to see if it is more effective on treating then a chemotherapy drug known as rapamycin. At first I always thought truly creating something innovative would be impossible behalf of me in the science fair, however with hard work and dedication to pursue something that I loved enabled is to achieve my dreams and every student can to the same.
