Biography
My name is Miranda Álvarez, I'm 15 years old and I'm in grade 9. I am in a boarding school called Albert college that is in Belleville, Ontario. I am originally from Mexico but I have been studying in Canada for two years already. I speak two languages (english and spanish) and I am learning a third (french). My favorite topic at school is Biology and I have been involved in multiple sports such as field hockey, volleyball and football soccer. My project is about bacteria on your hands after hand-drying. My inspiration for it came from the fact that in my school there have tree different ways which you can use to dry your hands. I wanted to check which was the best. For a further investigation I would want to test other drying methods, not only the ones from my school. My advice for any student that wants to do a project would be to just do it. There is nothing to loose, and who knows, you could get this far.

Abstract:My project is about bacteria on your hands after hand-drying. This means I tested how much bacteria you would get on your hands depending on how you dried them. For this, I got participants to test different methods we have at my school; blow drying, paper towel and shake dry. My project would help you choose the healthiest and cleanest way to dry your hands.
