Biographie
My name is Danielle and I am 14 years old. I currently attend Holy Ghost School and I am now a grade 8 student. Attending this school allowed me to grow academically, and as a person with high moral standards. Because of this school, I was able to receive many opportunities that I have never imagined doing, mostly having a close relationship with science fair projects. My relationship with conducting experiments for science fair projects began when I was in Grade 4. It is my first time competing in the CWSF and it is a great honor. Everyday we are exposed to electromagnetic radiation. Not only does it affect us but also the other living things around us. So for my project, I wanted to spread awareness about the impact of electromagnetic radiation. To those who are planning on a project, stay curious and be open to the many ideas you may encounter.Aside from science fair, I enjoy playing the piano, singing, playing sports, and spending time with my family and friends. Even though I have a mind of a child, I will always have the ability to make my mark in the world.

The Effect of Electromagnetic Radiation on Living Organisms

Sommaire:My project is about electromagnetic radiation and their impact on plants, fungi, and bacteria. I exposed the plants and fungi with microwave radiation while the bacteria was exposed to ultraviolet radiation in order to see the effects of something that our environment is exposed to everyday. The experiment results suggest that as the amount of exposure increases, more damage is caused to the organisms' cells.
