My name is Mary-Lou Angidlik I am 13 years old. I live with my 2 parents and I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters. My brothers and sisters from oldest to youngest are Brian, Angie, then my favorite brother Leonard, Alex, Priscilla who was adopted and last but not least me! My family are Inuit and we enjoy sharing traditional foods like caribou, seal and arctic char after going hunting. I have lived in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut since I was 2 months. The population of Rankin Inlet is 2,177. People in Rankin like to go out on the land, ride snowmobiles and square dance. It’s my first year going to school at Maani Ulujuk Illianarvik and I’m already going to the National Science Fair! My brother is the only one who graduated from our ENTIRE family and I hope to be the next one! After I graduate I want to be a Science Teacher. I enjoy being at home with my family and friends, staying up late, and having a day off of school. I also like playing volleyball on Mondays! I dislike getting up in the morning, feeling sick, and I also hate boys bothering my family! |
