Biography
Hello, my name is Gavin. I have always had a passion for police science and forensics so I decided to do my science fair on them. My last science fair project was about conservation forensics. I pretended that I was a conservation officer. I had a scenario where somebody had shot a fox on private land and I had to find their fingerprints from the bullet shells and track person down with them. Next year I would like to have my two actor to go into another class and do the same thing. I would suspect that the definitions would change from the tone of there voice. For example, if he was holding a pen they would maybe think it was a knife if he was yelling and screaming. If other people would want to do this project i would probably say to always be in a safe environment and to warn the adults that it is happening so they don't call the police. Otherwise, have fun with it.

Are Eyewitnesses Reliable?
Challenge:Discovery
Category:Junior

Abstract:Eye witness testimony is often used in cases within the courts to provide evidence of a defendants guilt. Testimony is given by the eye witnesses who observed the offence. These situations are often scary and stressful for the witness. This experiment tests how stress and environment affect the accuracy and reliability of eye witness testimony; and whether this testimony should be accepted in court.
