Biography
My name is Lucas Hilden, I am a grade 7 student from West Hants Middle School. I was born in Oshawa, Ontario but I grew up in Falmouth, Nova Scotia. My favorite thing to do outside of school is to play and compete in hockey and baseball. In my house, I live with my parents and my younger sister, Addison. I also have 3 cats and a dog. I was inspired to do this project by my father. He has mined for awhile but I never understood what it was. In the near future, I would like to further look into mining and other technologies that are similar. If anyone is thinking about doing a science fair project, I would definitely say do it. There are so many great things to go along with your project, learning a lot of new things for your own project and others.

Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Mining Efficiency

Abstract:The process of generating new crypto currency is called mining. In this experiment, the different frequencies of a GPU were tested to determine the most efficient clock frequency in which to mine. Mining at the most efficient frequency lowers the impact to the environment and increases profitability of the mining.
