Biography
I am a grade eight student at River Heights School. I play French Horn. This year I was also on our school’s basketball team and participated in the school musical. I love drawing, reading and being outside. This is my fifth year doing a science fair project but the first time I have gone to the CWSF. I really enjoyed doing this experiment. In particular, I really liked seeing the end results and how much fun students had participating in the project.

The Power of Privilege
Challenge:Discovery
Category:Junior
Region:Winnipeg Schools
City:Winnipeg, MB
School:River Heights School
Abstract:Some groups in our society are privileged. This project tested whether privlage has an ongoing effect on performance. Two groups of students competed against each other in three challenges. In the first two challenges one group had a large, unknown, disadvantage. The third challenge was fair. Results indicate that the effects of the disadvantage continued even after the disadvantage was eliminated.
