| Neil Mitra is a Grade 7 student in Sherwood Heights School, Mississauga, Ontario. My hobbies include scientific dissections, rubiks cube, and playing soccer. I have received Silver Medal in the Peel Regional Science Fair 2017, runner-up at the Canadian National Mathematics League 2014, and numerous academic honors from school. I am always interested in helping people particularly physically challenged and disabled individuals. Also, my grand mother is almost blind and I felt that I need to come up with a solution that can address blind people in their daily mobility. I have already filed US Provisional Patent for iCane. I plan to fully commercialize this technology that will empower blind person. The advise that I would give to other students is think about innovation and how it can help people and the society. |
